Modern XC-courses get more technical and demanding for the rider and the machinery. Our Blackburner 28 2.0 29” offers a current, extra-wide carbon rim to make your race bike feel like it’s on rails! The wheel is equipped with our best-selling KillHill hub. The hub is CNC machined in our factory from aerospace grade aluminium, thus demonstrating increased fatigue strength and low weight. The anodising ensures a great look and prevents corrosion, even under the toughest circumstances. Assembled and adjusted by hand in Buggingen, Germany, the Blackburner 28 2.0 29” boasts the highest quality standards—guaranteed! The geometry has been optimised for a balanced, stiff wheel. The 28mm UD carbon XC 29 rim has a unique profile, with a low sectional height and wide width. These characteristics add radial compliance and lateral stiffness. A wider rim provides improved tyre support, which allows lower pressure, less rolling resistance, and better grip on rough tracks. The rim is manufactured out of low weight, unidirectional carbon fibre toughened prepreg, which is impact resistant and absorbs vibrations. This wheel is completed with D-Light spokes from Sapim, which are two times butted and save weight compared to a conventional spoke. Typical for Tune, this wheel is available in seven colours for the hub, the nipples, and the decals to make your bike as unique as you are. Notes For Centerlock* brake disc installation, screw on the Centerlock* lockring and tighten it with max. 40Nm
