Carbon Aero Spokes – Designed for Tune Nano CS Hubs
Our carbon aero spokes are developed to work perfectly with Tune Nano CS hubs, creating a lightweight, aerodynamic and highly efficient wheel system for high-end road and gravel builds.
The Nano CS hub platform was designed to make carbon spoke integration easier, more precise and more versatile. Thanks to its patented spoke-hole design, one hub platform can be used with a wide range of rims and rim offsets while maintaining a perfectly straight spoke line. This is especially important for carbon spokes, as they require precise alignment and do not tolerate bending like traditional steel spokes.
The spoke itself is built around a straight-pull construction. A carbon main body is combined with a steel head and a steel threaded end section, creating an effective balance between low weight, structural efficiency and practical wheel building.
The result is a carbon spoke system that is light, aerodynamic and wheel-builder-friendly — without compromising precision or serviceability.
Each spoke features a 5.5mm round head, increasing the contact area between spoke and hub. The carbon section uses an elliptical aero profile measuring 3.3 x 1.5mm. In our internal tests, a 24-spoke wheel build using our carbon aero spokes showed an increase in stiffness of around 10% compared with CX-Ray spokes, while spoke-related weight was reduced by approximately 30%.
The internal M4 x 0.5mm nipple uses integrated thread-locking technology to help maintain secure spoke tension over time. Although the nipple is positioned internally, the spoke can still be held externally via the steel end section. This external interface resembles a nipple and allows precise handling during wheel building and truing, without applying force directly to the carbon section. Please note that the nipples must be purchased separately.
