Speedneedle – Lightweight Comfort in Three Cover Options

Jürgen Mikus’ Speedneedle combines the comfort of a good standard saddle with a significantly lower weight. Its stiff carbon-aramid shell is designed to support the rider efficiently, while the lightweight padding provides comfort where it is needed.

Unlike many conventional saddles, where shell flex and soft padding can create pressure in the perineal area, the Speedneedle uses a stiffer saddle structure combined with targeted padding. This helps reduce unwanted pressure and can improve blood circulation, reducing the risk of numbness on longer rides.

The saddle shell and rails are made from a carbon-aramid blend. This construction keeps the weight extremely low while offering high stability. The rail design also provides a large clamping area, making the Speedneedle compatible with many seatposts and allowing a wide range of saddle positions.

The Speedneedle is available in three cover options: black leather, red leather and Alcantara. The leather versions offer a classic, durable finish, while the Alcantara version is the lightest option.
