In this document, we answer the most frequently asked questions about our service and products. Our goal is to provide you with all the important information quickly and easily.

Product Questions:

Q: Where can I find spare parts?
A: You can find spare parts in the "Parts" section of our website. If you are looking for a spare part for a product that is no longer in our portfolio, please open a service ticket on our website. We will be happy to check if we can assist you.

Wheels/Hubs:
Q: Are your wheels approved for UCI races?
A: You can find information on this on the respective product pages. Currently, our Yokto3030 and Yokto4550 are UCI-certified. Please check the product pages regularly for updates.

Q: What standards do your hubs and wheels support?
A: Our products support the following standards:
Road rim brake: QR5x100mm & QR5x130mm
Road disc brake: 12x100mm & 12x142mm, Center Lock only
MTB: 15x110mm & 12x148mm, 6-bolt only

Q: Can I make my freehub louder or quieter?
A: Louder: Use less grease, but be careful – this can increase wear.
Quieter: Regular maintenance and careful greasing help reduce noise. However, please note: too much grease is not ideal as the parts need to move freely. Our hubs will never be completely silent – it's part of their character.

Q: Why did you discontinue the Princess/Prince and KillHill/ClimbHill hubs?
A: These hubs were introduced over 10 years ago and have been continuously improved over time. We have optimized many aspects, learned a lot, and kept developing the platform. However, the market has changed significantly since then: Road bikes now primarily use disc brakes, E-bikes are widespread, In MTB, 1x drivetrains have become the norm. We have reached the technical limits of this platform and believe it's time for a new generation. This does not mean the older hubs are bad – but rather that the Yokto, Nano, and Micro hubs have greater potential for the future and are better suited to today's demands.

Q: What is the difference between Princess/Prince, KillHill/ClimbHill, and Yokto/Nano/Micro?
A: There are a few key differences: Princess and KillHill are front hubs only, while Prince and ClimbHill are the corresponding rear hubs. With the new Yokto generation, front and rear hubs have identical names—the same applies to Nano and Micro.
Technical Differences:
Axial play adjustment: Yokto, Nano, Micro: Automatic adjustment Princess, Prince, KillHill, ClimbHill: Adjusted with shims
Freehub system: Yokto: POEtry 40 (Color: Silver) Nano/Micro: POEtry 69/138 (Color: Silver) Prince, ClimbHill: 3T or 6T (Colors: Black, Blue, or Gold)
These are the main differences between the hub models.

Q: Are the POEtry freehub hubs compatible with 3T/6T freehubs?
A: No, the toothed ring, freehub body, and pawls are different, and the engagement system has been redesigned. There are service kits for Poetry freehubs and for 3T/6T freehubs.

Q: What is the difference between POEtry 40, POEtry 69, and POEtry 138?
A: POEtry 40: Designed exclusively for Yokto hubs, featuring a special 40-tooth toothed ring, two oversized pawls, and a POEtry 40 freehub body. It is extremely lightweight with minimal resistance.
POEtry 69: Designed for Nano and Micro hubs, featuring a special 69-tooth toothed ring, three multi-pawl engagement, and a POEtry 69/138 freehub body.
POEtry 138: Also for Nano and Micro hubs, featuring the same 69-tooth toothed ring as POEtry 69, but with six multi-pawls in the POEtry 69/138 freehub body.
The main difference between POEtry 69 and POEtry 138 is the number of pawls: More pawls = Faster engagement. Fewer pawls = Lighter weight and lower freehub resistance.

Q: Can I switch from POEtry 138 to POEtry 69?
A: Yes, this is possible. Simply remove every second pawl and spring.

Q: Can I switch from POEtry 69 to POEtry 138?
A: Yes, you will need to purchase an additional set of 3 pawls and springs.

Q: I want to switch from SRAM to Shimano. Is that possible with your hubs/wheels?
A: Absolutely! Just purchase the appropriate freewheel conversion kit, and you're ready to go.

Q: Where can I find the dimensions of your hub bearings?
A: All dimensions and exploded drawings can be found in the Service section of our website.

Q: What bearings do you use?
A: We use only Enduro Bearings ABEC5 and XD15.

Q: Can I convert my hub from thru-axle to QR5 and vice versa?
A: Yes, this is possible for KillHill/ClimbHill and Princess/Prince hubs. You will need a new axle and end caps, which can be found in the Parts section of our website. That QR5 conversion is no longer possible for Yokto, Nano, and Micro hubs.

Q: What can I do if my end cap falls off?
A: Apply a small amount of Loctite 638 (about a quarter turn), and the end cap will sit securely again.

Q: Why don’t you offer MTB hubs/wheels with Center Lock?
A: Center Lock is less common in the MTB sector. For this reason, we offer our MTB hubs exclusively with 6-bolt disc mounts.

Q: My Center Lock ring doesn’t fit. What am I doing wrong?
A: The wide variety of bicycle standards can unfortunately lead to compatibility issues, especially with different thread pitches (metric vs. imperial). Our own Center Lock ring guarantees an optimal fit. Alternatively, Shimano, Hope, and Magura Center Lock rings are also compatible.

Q: Can I use your hubs with my e-bike?
A: Our MTB hubs are e-bike ready. However, our road hubs are not.

Q: My hub has a red freehub. Can I use it with an 11-speed cassette?
A: Unfortunately, no. These older hubs (with 15mm axles) were manufactured before 11-speed became standard. There is no conversion kit available to make them compatible.

Q: Do you offer Superboost rear hubs (157x12mm)?
A: We produced them until 2022, but due to low demand, we have discontinued them.

Q: Do you have 135mm QR5 hubs for disc brakes?
A: No, we offered them a long time ago, but due to very low demand, we have discontinued this option.

Saddles:
Q: What are the rail dimensions of your saddles?
A: 7.5 x 9.5 mm – oval carbon rails.

Q: Will my seatpost fit your saddles?
A: If your seatpost is designed to accommodate oval rails, it should fit. However, since there are countless models on the market, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all seatposts.

Q: Can I have the leather of my saddle renewed by you?
A: Yes! Open a service ticket on our website, and we will guide you through the next steps. The cost is approximately €60.

A: Attention: The 10-year warranty on hubs applies only to hubs purchased on or after April 1, 2024. Hubs purchased before this date are not covered under this new policy. However, after the expiration of the 2-year standard warranty, we do offer a Crash Replacement Program for these hubs.

Q: What does the 10-year warranty on your hubs cover?
A: The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects of the hub shell, axle, and end caps. Wear parts, such as pawls, ratchets, springs, and standard bearings, are not included. However, the Ceramic XD15 bearings come with a lifetime warranty.
