POEtry 40, 69 & 138 freewheel manuals
The following manual will guide you through the disassembly and assembly of our current hubs line up by the easiest way. if you own a universal bearing tool kit such as Parktool or Enduro Bearings kit, feel free to use it. The tool kit used in the manual below is 3D printed with PLA, the file can be downloaded for free below in the tool list (just click on the TOOL you need) if you have a 3D printer. If your hubset uses shims and have a blue, black, or gold freehub body, please use the Kill/Climbhill, Prince/ss manuals.
About POE (point of engagement) : More POE means quicker engagement of the freewheel when you restart pedaling. The drawback is that it slightly increases the drag when you are coasting (not pedaling).
On the other hand, fewer POEs require a larger pedal rotation angle to engage, but you get less drag resistance while freewheeling.
To put numbers to it: 69 POE leads to a 5.22° gap between engagement points, whereas 138 POE reduces it to just 2.61°. Therefore, a smaller gap means you have to turn the crank less before your hub engages again.
